President Volodymyr Zelensky announced an agreement to hold a new round of negotiations with the Russian Federation and the United States in a trilateral format within the next 10 days. He reported this on social networks.
“We believe that real opportunities to end the war with dignity remain and the ability of the world to put pressure on the aggressor can significantly help so that a reliable peace replaces the war. We expect that in the near future, in February, we will be able to organize another round of negotiations and that this round can be truly productive,” Zelensky said.
As stated in the message, the head of state also specified that the meeting is planned to be held within ten days, and Geneva is being considered among the possible locations.
The President listened to a detailed report negotiating team based on the results of contacts in Switzerland and discussed issues that could not be the subject of telephone conversations.
“Ukrainian answers to the most complex issues on the eve of the next meeting are ready. Priorities for our negotiating team for the next meeting in the trilateral format and with the United States have been determined. We are continuing to work on the readiness of leaders to meet and resolve what has not yet been resolved at the team level”, the president said.
