Zelenskyy announced the expansion of the “Contract 18-24” program

The “Contrakt 18-24” program in Ukraine is planned to be expanded again — this time with an emphasis on attracting young people to work with drones. About this stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his evening address.

According to the head of state, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko informed him about several project decisions related to financing and defense initiatives. In particular, we are talking about changes to the state budget, which should ensure the necessary payments to the Ukrainian military, as well as the families of the fallen defenders. Zelensky noted that some of the issues require legislative regulation and expressed hope for support from the Verkhovna Rada.

In addition, the president announced that the government has already prepared a new expansion of the program for the age group 18-24 years. According to him, this initiative should attract motivated young people to work with drones. It should be presented by Yulia Svyridenko.

We will remind you that in February, Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the development of a special contract for citizens aged 18 to 24. The Ministry of Defense then announced that within the framework of the “Contract 18-24” project, 1 million hryvnias will be paid to volunteers. Later, it became known about the first expansion of the program — the number of specialties for which young people can sign a contract for military service was increased.
