Former Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin became the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Netherlands. Oleksiy Havrysha has been appointed ambassador to Norway. Oleksandr Nechitaylo assumed the post of ambassador of Ukraine to China, Yuriy Klymenko became ambassador to Argentina and concurrently to Paraguay.

Viktor Maik has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mykhailo Vydoynyk to the Republic of Finland, and Roman Goryainov to the Republic of Lebanon. Andriy Melnyk was appointed as the permanent representative of Ukraine at the United Nations.

By separate decrees, the president dismissed Olga Dibrova from the positions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Finland and concurrently to Iceland. Viktor Maiko was dismissed from the post of ambassador of Ukraine to Turkmenistan, and Andriy Melnyk from the post of ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

We will remind that on October 22, 2024, Andriy Kostin announced his intention to leave the position of the Prosecutor General after the scandal related to fake disabilities among officials of state bodies. Then he said that he thought it was right to resign.

At the end of October, the Verkhovna Rada voted for his dismissal. 255 People’s Deputies supported the resolution “On granting consent to the dismissal of Andrii Kostin from the post of Prosecutor General by the President of Ukraine” (registration number 12153).
