Zelenskyy heard Umerov and Hnatov’s report on the results of negotiations with the US delegation
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard reports from Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Gnatov on the results of meetings with the American team. According to the words of the head of state, the negotiations were productive, and drafts of several documents have been prepared.
“There are documents on security guarantees for Ukraine, on reconstruction, and on the basic framework for ending this war. The points are currently fixed in such a way that it corresponds to the task of a real end to the war and the need to prevent a third Russian invasion,” the president said.
Zelensky stressed that each round of negotiations strengthens the protection of Ukrainian interests and work in a constructive format will continue. He also thanked European partners for their support and coordination, emphasizing expectations for continued dialogue with the United States.
“It is important that diplomacy always goes hand in hand with the necessary pressure on Russia and the necessary support for Ukraine. Every Russian strike on Ukraine and intensive Russian assaults on the front prove that Ukraine’s determination to end the war is significantly superior to Russia’s, and this must be corrected by increasing world pressure on the aggressor,” the president added.
