Zelenskyy instructed the government to reduce prices for medicines in pharmacies

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasized the need to adopt specific decisions to reduce the prices of medicines so that they become more affordable for Ukrainians. He too warnedthat in the absence of such decisions personnel changes will be adopted.

“It is necessary to support the financial stability of every Ukrainian family, of all our citizens. In many ways, this concerns price issues, in particular for vital things such as medicines. What some pharmacy chains are doing with prices is absolutely unacceptable.

And this is the responsibility of the government, specifically the Minister of Health, the Antimonopoly Committee. I had a meeting with them today, and I’m tired of waiting for relevant offers.” – noted Zelensky.

The President emphasized that clear decisions are needed that will provide citizens with access to the necessary medicines:

“If there are no solutions for the availability of medicines, there will be personnel solutions.”

We would like to remind you that the government program “Affordable medicines” operates in Ukraine, thanks to which Ukrainians can get the necessary medicines for free or with a small surcharge.
