A bill to support the All-Ukrainian game “Jura” has been registered in the parliament

The Verkhovna Rada has registered draft resolution No. 13309 on the support of the All-Ukrainian game “Jura”, which people’s deputies consider to be a tool for national-patriotic education of children. About this reported in the Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports.

The goal of the initiative is to provide the government, executive authorities and local self-government with recommendations to ensure the proper functioning of the game. According to the authors of the project, today about 150,000 children participate in “Jura”, but the initiative faces a shortage of personnel, lack of funding and lack of coordination.

The project proposes to recognize the game “Jura” as an “important event” for the national-patriotic and military-patriotic education of young people, as well as one of the key mechanisms of civic education, which corresponds to “valuable guidelines”. The document also provides a number of recommendations, in particular, the government’s proposal to consider the issue of ensuring the stable development of the game and including its funding in the state budget for 2026.

Special emphasis is placed on the role of the Ministry of Education. The document talks about the need to strengthen the position of the Ukrainian State Center for National-Patriotic Education, Local History and Tourism of School Youth as a leading institution responsible for organizing national-patriotic education in the education system.

“But as the main institution of methodical and organizational support for the game “Jura” with the preservation of organizational independence and an increase in the number of staff of the structural division of the specified center, which provides methodical and organizational support during its holding”, the document says.
