A fatal accident involving a school bus and a Volkswagen occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region
A serious road accident involving a ZAZ school bus and a Volkswagen LT minibus occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Two people died as a result of the collision, and ten others were injured to varying degrees.
According to information from the State Emergency Service and the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, the accident occurred on the highway between the city of Pyatikhatki and the village of Saksagan, Pyatikhatsky district. It was previously established that the 29-year-old driver of a Volkswagen car drove into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a school bus traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the accident, two men died in a Volkswagen Transporter, one of whom was unblocked from the damaged car by rescuers.
Among the injured in the school bus were ten people, including a 14-year-old girl. All of them were taken to medical facilities for assistance.
Investigators went to the scene to clarify all the circumstances of the accident. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part Three of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine into the fact of the road accident.
