A former deputy from Norway married a Ukrainian military man

Former Norwegian parliament member Sandra Andersen has been serving as a medic in the International Legion since 2022. The other day she celebrated a “front-line wedding” – she married a Ukrainian soldier, a company commander with the call sign “Jabari”.
“A 32-year-old Ukrainian serviceman of the 505th separate battalion of marines and a 37-year-old combat medic met on the front line during heavy battles,” the official on the Facebook page of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Sandra and “Jabari” planned to get married last year, but the newlyweds managed to organize a wedding only now. The ceremony was held in the circle of comrades of the combat medic and the Ukrainian serviceman.
“The mission always comes first, but now we get to celebrate with the same people with whom we fought side by side, marched forward through bullets and minefields. Marrying the love of my life happened in the middle of war. Life is truly amazing.” – says Sandra Andersen.
According to the bride, they met their future husband in the forest on the front line. Then there were battles, constant attacks. Difficult conditions did not prevent the newlyweds from seeing each other and finding a couple with whom they really had to go through the fire.
Witnesses at the wedding were the brothers of the bride and groom – the commander of fire support and the chief medic, whom Sandra has known since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
