A research institute in Kyiv was sold for UAH 107 million

On 31 October, the State Property Fund sold the building of a research institute near the Taras Shevchenko metro station at a single-bid auction.

According to the Fund’s press service, the starting price of the property was UAH 87 million. According to information on the Prozorro.Sale portal, the auction for the Unified Property Complex of the State Enterprise Ukrainian Research and Design Institute of Building Materials and Products was won by Gogol Office Centre LLC, which offered UAH 107.2 million as the only bidder for the lot.

The buyer will additionally pay UAH 21.4 million in VAT on top of this amount, bringing the total economic effect to UAH 128.6 million.The property is located in Podil district of Kyiv at 68 Kostiantynivska Street, near the Tarasa Shevchenko metro station.

According to the State Property Fund, after full payment for the lot, the new owner will receive a complex that includes a 5098.3 m² administrative building and 53.5 m² garage boxes. The complex also has one vehicle and 41 items of movable property on its balance sheet.

In October, the State Property Fund began preparations for the privatisation of the share of Ocean Plaza confiscated from the Russian owners. The plan is to put up 66.65% of the complex for auction at a starting price of UAH 1.3 billion, which corresponds to its book value.

Also, the proceeds from the sale of the Ukraina Hotel on Maidan Nezalezhnosti were fully transferred to the state budget.
