A series of explosions occurred in Kharkiv in the evening and at night: details about the consequences of shelling (video)
On 27 October, at 20:35, the first explosion occurred in Kharkiv, and two more explosions were heard in the city shortly afterwards. They were carried out in three districts of the city – Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi.
According to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office, Russian troops struck with high-explosive aerial bombs from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. In Saltiv district, a hotel building, 21 private residential buildings and 5 multi-storey buildings, as well as garages and cars, were damaged, and dozens of windows were smashed.
In Shevchenkivskyi district, the shelling hit a private residential area, damaging a construction site and private houses. Two people were injured: a woman had an open wound of the hand, a man had a closed head injury and a wound of the hand. Four other people suffered acute stress reactions.
Later, according to the head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the number of victims increased to four.
The director of the Kharkiv City Department for Emergency Situations, Bohdan Gladkykh, said that as of 23:00, six people had sought medical help.
On 28 October, as a result of a night air strike on Kharkiv at around 02:13, seven people, including one child, were injured in the Kholodnohirsky district. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The enemy strike partially destroyed apartments on the top floor of a nine-storey building, windows were also smashed in the building, and a fire broke out near the building. People with glass injuries and acute stress reactions were treated by doctors. More than 25 rescuers and six units of SES equipment were working at the scene to carry out emergency rescue operations.
At 6.29 am, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov clarified the information:
“Regarding the night shelling of Kharkiv:
– At the moment, we have information about seven victims in the Kholodnogorsky district, including a 16-year-old girl;
– the ceiling between the 8th and 9th floors of a high-rise building was damaged, three apartments were destroyed;
There is more detailed information about the evening shelling:
– the number of victims increased to six: three wounded in Saltove district and three in Shevchenkivske district;
– one household building was destroyed and 21 private houses and 4 cars were damaged.
All relevant services and volunteers are working at the arrival sites. In Kholodnogorsky district, rescue operations are underway on a 9-storey building.”
