A training center for training heavy equipment operators will be opened in Ukraine with the support of the Republic of Korea

The Recovery Agency and the Association of Construction Equipment Manufacturers of the Republic of Korea signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Seoul, which provides for the opening of a heavy equipment operator training center in Ukraine. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba.

“A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Reconstruction Agency and the Association of Construction Machinery Manufacturers of the Republic of Korea. The agreements provide for the creation of a training center in Ukraine, where operators of excavators, cranes, bulldozers and other heavy equipment will be trained,” the message reads.

The center will be equipped with modern simulators and equipment, so that the training takes place according to Korean standards. This will make it possible to quickly and qualitatively train specialists for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities and villages. According to Kuleba, training programs at the center will be available to veterans, women and youth. This will open up new opportunities for Ukrainians to participate in the reconstruction of the state and get a job in the modern construction sector.

In addition, the memorandum provides for the supply of equipment, the launch of pilot projects and the provision of consulting support. Ukrainian and Korean experts will work together to harmonize standards, define requirements for procurement and service, and organize professional programs and events.
