A two-month-old baby died in a road accident in the Kharkiv region, two more people were injured

On January 24, a road accident occurred on the road near Berestyn (formerly Krasnograd), Kharkiv region, in which a two-month-old baby died. This was reported by the Kharkiv region police on their Facebook page.

“The accident occurred at around 7:15 a.m. on the Berestyn-Poltava highway near the city of Berestyn. According to preliminary information, the 26-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn, law enforcement officials said.

As a result of the accident, the infant received injuries incompatible with life. In addition, a 24-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child who were in the car were injured.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for violation of road safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles.

The photos published by the police show that the car went off the road and ended up in a forest plantation.
