Almost 90% of public organizations ignored financial reporting: Opendatabot

During the year, 92,189 public organizations and 23,382 charitable foundations did not submit annual financial statements. This means that 89% of the total number of registered public organizations and 77% of all charitable foundations have not fulfilled their reporting obligations. informs The opendatabase.

Compared to the previous year, the number of non-accountable public organizations increased by 2,225, breaking the previous positive trend observed in 2021-2023. At the same time, in 2021, the situation was even worse: then 97% of NGOs and 94% of BFs did not submit reports. This indicates that the problem did not appear with the start of a full-scale war, but existed earlier.

The highest rates of non-reporting were recorded in regions under occupation or in the war zone. Among the safer regions, the highest level of non-compliance with reporting was recorded in the Kyiv region — 90.5% of NGOs, as well as in the Chernivtsi region — 80% of the BF.

At the same time, the five public organizations with the largest revenues in 2024 declared more than 1.7 billion hryvnias each. The organization “Ukraine invincible – 2023” showed the highest income – 6.1 billion. Among the charitable funds, the “Return Alive” fund was the leader in terms of financial indicators, with 4.9 billion hryvnias declared.

As a reminder, in 2023, 87.5% of public and 76% of charitable organizations did not submit reports. The highest level of non-fulfillment of obligations was also recorded in the front-line and temporarily occupied regions: Luhansk (98%), Donetsk (89%) and Kherson (87%) regions. Other problem regions include Mykolaiv (77%), Zaporizhia (76%) and Odesa (75%).
