The Russian Federation disguises mines as firewood and launches them along the border of Kharkiv Oblast (video)
In the border village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv Region, “deceit firewood” that Russian troops launch into the community was recorded. An explosive is hidden inside such logs, triggered by a detonator. This was reported by the head of Dergachyvska MBA Vyacheslav Zadorenko.
“When a local resident sees such a log and decides to take it home to melt the stove, the mine inside detonates – the person dies. Also, the occupiers are actively using MLRS for remote mining of the area. “Petals” scattered throughout the village actually make it impossible for motor vehicles to move, in particular evacuation vehicles and ambulances, the report says.
Currently, the Russians are actively using multiple rocket launcher systems for remote demining and scattering “petals” mines. along Kozachya Lopan, which actually makes evacuation from the settlement impossible.
“Since the beginning of the repeated offensive of the Russians in the north of Kharkiv region in May 2024, we have constantly warned people: leave before it is too late, leave applications for evacuation while you can be taken out. Currently, the situation is such that it is no longer possible to take people directly from Kozachai Lopan, as well as from Tokarivka, Hoptivka, Velikie and Malikhi Prohody – they have to walk on their own to a conditionally safe point where an evacuation vehicle could pick them up, added Vyacheslav Zadorenko.
