Amazon plans to spend $100 billion on artificial intelligence in 2025

The American corporation Amazon plans to invest 100 billion dollars in the development of artificial intelligence technologies in 2025. This exceeds the similar costs of its main competitors – Alphabet and Microsoft, informs Financial Times.

The main part of the funds will be directed to the “Amazon Web Services” division, which manages data centers and provides software solutions based on cloud technologies to clients.

Amazon’s large-scale investment in artificial intelligence demonstrates the intensifying global competition between tech giants for leadership in the field. However, the company’s ambitious initiatives faced a challenge amid unexpected competition from the Chinese company DeepSeek, which with its breakthrough achievement forced a review of the balance of power in the market.

We will remind that on January 20, DeepSeek presented a new version of the R1 chatbot, which, according to the developers, is superior to the advanced version of ChatGPT from the American company OpenAI. At the same time, Chinese developers spent significantly less financial resources on the creation of their product.
