An 18-year-old boy who disappeared in Poland was found in Ukraine: he became a volunteer of the Armed Forces
In mid-March 2025, 18-year-old Wojciech Antoni was wanted in Poland, who was going to go to Warsaw. Only six months later it became known that the boy had voluntarily joined the Ukrainian army. About this notifies Polish publication Onet.
First, information about his disappearance appeared in the Polish mass media. The family assumed that he could have left for Lithuania or Ukraine, as evidenced by his last correspondence. After several days of searching, the Poznań police announced that the boy had been found, but did not reveal any details. However, on September 11, Wojciech appeared in the video of the Center for Recruiting Foreigners in the Armed Forces.
“My name is Wojciech Antoni, I am from Poland, from Poznań. For Poland, it is very important that Ukraine fights the Russians, because we are next on the front line, – said Wojciech Antony in English.
He said that six months ago he came to Ukraine and joined the 25th Brigade of Airborne Assault Troops to “save people, protect them from Russian invaders, fight Russian invasion and fight for Europe.
At the end of the video, he addressed his compatriots in Polish:
“Brothers and sisters from Poland! War is closer than it seems. Help. Be ready to defend your homeland. Glory to Ukraine. Poland has not died yet.
