An attacker who injured three people in a shopping kiosk was detained in Kharkiv

On the evening of June 20, a man attacked people in a kiosk in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. According to police, a 22-year-old native of Cherkasy entered the kiosk, injured the man with a fragment of a broken bottle, and later injured two more people while fleeing. Law enforcement officers have established his whereabouts. This was reported by the Kharkiv Region Police.

“A 22-year-old native of Cherkasy broke into a stall and inflicted cuts on a man with a broken bottle, after which he punched the saleswoman in the head. While fleeing the scene of the crime, the attacker also kicked an elderly woman who was passing by in the face. The victims are being provided with assistance,” the police report.

The video on social networks shows that when The attacker tried to escape, the people around reacted instantly. They threw him to the ground and held him so that he would not harm others. Then the police arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement officers established the location and detained the attacker, the issue of his detention is being resolved in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Currently, law enforcement officers are resolving the issue of entering information about the incident into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under preliminary qualification under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism. This article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to seven years.
