In the Slobid district of Kharkiv, near the central entrance to the building of the district police department, an explosion occurred, probably caused by an unknown explosive device. About this incident reported press service of the police of the Kharkiv region.
According to preliminary information, the explosion happened last night. As a result, the facade of the building was damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties among police officers and civilians.
Investigators and experts are working at the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers are engaged in identifying persons who may be involved in this event. At present, the issue of opening criminal proceedings on the fact of the explosion is being resolved. Police are appealing to local residents to come forward with any information that may help with the investigation.
Earlier in Kharkiv, counter-intelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized an agent-combat group of Russian military intelligence, which carried out terrorist attacks in the city and spied on units of the Defense Forces. In June 2024, the members of this group blew up the car of a serviceman of the Armed Forces, as a result of which he was seriously injured. The group included four local residents.
