Today, June 28, 2024, the State Bureau of Investigation handed over to the National Agency for Asset Detection an enterprise worth 5 million US dollars, which is the property of the closest relatives of ex-people’s deputies Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.

The press service of the DBR reported that this enterprise — a brick production plant in the Lviv region — had been evading tax payments for years. Instead, the proceeds were used to finance Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
The SBI, in cooperation with the SBU, previously announced suspicions in the case of Medvedchuk and Kozak, related to treason. As part of this investigation, other property of the enterprise also becomes state property: four off-road vehicles, two excavators, a tractor, forklifts, as well as land plots with a total area of more than 10 hectares and non-residential premises with a volume of more than 31 thousand square meters.
Representatives of the SBI emphasize the importance of this step for the restoration of law and order in the country and responsibility for actions directed against the national interests of Ukraine.
