As a result of the massive strike of the Russian Federation in Sumy Oblast, 3 were killed and 5 wounded
The Russian army launched a missile attack on the Sumy region, as a result of which 3 civilian men were killed. 5 more people were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
Under the procedural leadership of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the fact of war crimes that led to the death of civilians (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was launched. According to the investigation, on September 12, 2025, around 06:00, the occupiers attacked an industrial zone in Sumy with two drones, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old security guard of the enterprise.
At around 06:30, according to preliminary data, the enemy launched three rocket attacks on the residential sector of the Bytytsk Starostat within the boundaries of the Sumy community.
Two men died as a result of the attack: one was 67 years old, the identity of the other is currently being established. At least five people were injured. More than ten private houses were damaged or destroyed.
Prosecutors together with other law enforcement agencies record the consequences of the shelling. The investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
