As a result of the Russian missile attack on employees of the Danish humanitarian demining mission, which took place near Chernigov, two people were killed and eight others were injured. reported the Danish Refugee Council about the incident.
“The Danish Refugee Council confirms that one of our humanitarian demining facilities in Ukraine was hit by a missile. As a result of the attack, two Ukrainian colleagues were killed, eight more were injured. This attack on a civilian humanitarian operation is a serious violation of international humanitarian law, says the message.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, expressed his indignation at the attack, which was directed against the activities of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine:
“Shocked by the Russian attack in Ukraine. I strongly condemn all aggression against humanitarian workers. Another proof that Putin has no intention of ending his illegal war of aggression.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets also stated that the attack on the workers of the humanitarian demining mission is a gross violation of the norms of international law:
