At night, the Russian Federation struck a fleet of Intercity+ high-speed trains: Ukrzaliznytsia
On the night of August 28, Russian troops struck a civilian passenger rolling stock. The fleet of Intercity+ high-speed trains also came under attack. One of the trains was seriously damaged. This was reported in Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Thanks to the concerted actions of railway workers — depot workers — the fire at the facility was extinguished. One train was seriously damaged. The workers were in shelters ahead of time, targets”, the report says.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that they are making maximum efforts to get as many trains as possible on the routes. Not a single flight is canceled: for this, replacement rolling stock is used. Passengers will be informed of possible delays as work continues to restore the damaged infrastructure.
Due to the damage to the railway junction in Kozyatyn, a number of trains are currently heading along a changed route. A few hours before the attack, Ukrzaliznytsia warned of possible traffic delays due to mass strikes and infrastructure blackouts in the Vinnytsia region.
It was about flights:
- №87 Zaporozhye – Kovel;
- №139 Kyiv – Kamianets-Podilskyi;
- №77 Odesa – Kovel;
- №3 Zaporozhye – Uzhgorod;
- #47 Zaporizhzhia – Mukachevo;
- №32 Przemyśl – Zaporozhye;
- №92 Lviv – Kyiv;
- №52 Lviv – Kyiv.
“ Some of these flights will go around the damaged section, those from the trains already on it will go under reserve diesel locomotives”, – reported in Ukrzaliznytsia.
