Cash transfer of billions of rubles from the budget of Chechnya, murders, harem: investigation of Kadyrov

In particular, with the help of three Chechen companies – “Benofon”, “Orbita” and “Izumrud” – tens of billions of rubles were withdrawn for the benefit of Kadyrov’s family and his entourage.

The financial statements of the company “Benofon”, which was at the disposal of the “Project”, confirm the scheme of withdrawal of money, including the receipt of significant sums from the Grozny city hall for the repair of schools, but with the actual withdrawal of these funds for other purposes. Interest-free loans also diverted huge sums to young Chechen men, many of whom received exorbitant sums.

In 2023, 16.3 billion rubles were received from companies controlled by the Kadyrov family or receiving state contracts from the Chechen government on their behalf. This is, in fact, money withdrawn from the budget.

Additional funds were obtained from private firms or deposited in cash, which may indicate a payment for force support or money transfer services.

In the same year, 58.9 billion rubles were withdrawn from the company with the help of interest-free loans. 15 young Chechens from the Shalyna district received a total of 48 billion rubles, including:

• Muslim Muradov, a taxi driver, received 4.6 billion rubles.
• Duk-Vakh Movsurov, head of the housing and communal services department of the Veden district, also received 4.6 billion rubles.
• Ayub Berdukaev from Serzhen-Yurt, who five years ago was involved in a criminal case of theft, received 2.2 billion rubles.

It is noted that these persons had access to significant sums that were transferred to the accounts of legal entities (“Orbits” and “Smaragda”). For example, taxi driver Muradov withdrew no less than 22.6 billion rubles in three New Year’s days, which he used for cash payments to the bank, the purchase of ingots of precious metals and transfers to third parties in the form of interest-free loans.

The general pattern of withdrawing money through three shell companies, which are used for large-scale financial operations, is reflected in the closure and opening of new structures. For example, the company “Benofon” has been at the stage of liquidation since April 2024.

The world-famous Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov causes controversial feelings not only among his supporters, but also among the world public because of his scandalous relationships with women, especially with underage girls. Despite the known restrictions that exist in Russia regarding polygamy, Kadyrov positions himself with only one wife — Midna Kadyrova, with whom, according to the official version, they have been together since 1996 and have 14 children.

However, investigations by independent journalists reveal a completely different picture. They confirm that Kadyrov has numerous concubines who legally formalize their relationship with him through an Islamic marriage known as nikah. These women, mostly young, are wealthy and have great influence in Chechen society.

A special topic was the question of “Kadyrov’s harem” — a collection of women who live in luxurious conditions with a large number of servants. Journalists were able to identify several of Kadyrov’s main wives: Midna Kadyrova, Fatima Khazueva, Aminat Akhmadova and Zamir (Indira) Jabrailova. They all, contrary to the official report, have children from Kadyrov, but these children are often not recognized by law.

Investigations also indicate that Kadyrov has a special fondness for young girls, often schoolgirls or first-year students, whom he likes because of their tenderness and innocence. These relationships often have tragic consequences for the girls who fall into Kadyrov’s circle.

In 2006, Fatima Khazuyeva, still a 14-year-old schoolgirl at the time, demonstrated her beauty at a contest that was organized solely for the pleasure of Kadyrov. It is difficult to even imagine what must have been the impressions of a young girl when she was chosen as the second best in Chechnya, on the condition that further duties included not only crowning, but also motherhood.

Zhanetta Mukuyeva, who became a victim of a complicated and controversial relationship with Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya. Jeanette and Ramzan met for the first time when she was already married to another man. Despite this, an affair appeared between them, which had serious consequences.

In 2003, Jeanette was brutally murdered on the street. People who know Kadyrov are sure that it was he who ordered this crime.

“Kadyrov showers his obedient wives with money. At one time, they were all housed in one of the new apartment buildings in the center of Grozny. Then many of them got expensive houses in the guarded area of ​​the Chechen capital, right behind Ramzan’s residence.” – says the publication.

The investigators decided not to tell in detail the stories of each woman chosen by Ramzan Kadyrov. Many of these stories ended tragically. In modern Chechnya, many girls bear the “brand of Kadyrov”, their life according to the laws of the republic is destined for loneliness.

It will be recalled that Kadyrov’s 16-year-old son became the curator of the special forces university. The university rector Baibetar Vaikhanov allegedly addressed him with a corresponding request.
