China unveils new bionic humanoid robot (video)
The Chinese company Unitree Robotics has officially presented its new bionic humanoid robot Unitree H2. This is reported by the Pandaily publication.
The new model is 180 cm tall and weighs 70 kg, and its proportions are as close to human as possible. Unitree H2 is distinguished by high agility, precise balance and smooth movements. It easily performs complex dance and combat combinations, demonstrating natural joint plasticity and realistic transitions between movements.
The robot is equipped with a bionic face similar to a human one, which brings it even closer to the image of humanoid robots, which until recently existed only in science fiction. Thus, Unitree Robotics continues to push the boundaries of modern robotics, bridging the gap between humans and machines and demonstrating what the next generation of intelligent robots could be.
The company’s previous model, the Unitree H1, gained widespread popularity after its appearance at the 2024 festival, where its dance number went viral both in China and abroad. It was the country’s first full-size humanoid robot capable of running, and it became an important technological breakthrough.
As a reminder, in August 2025, the first World Humanoid Robot Games were held in Beijing – a three-day tournament in which humanoid robots competed in Olympic disciplines and everyday tasks. They participated in running, football, table tennis, and also demonstrated practical skills – cleaning and sorting medicines. Unitree Robotics became the undisputed leader of the competition, winning gold in four running disciplines (100, 400, 1500 meters and 4×100 m), where the maximum recorded speed reached 4.78 m/s.
