Data on the number of players in the Register of persons with restricted access to gambling establishments has been published
During 2024, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL), together with the organizers of gambling games, entered information on 2,361 persons into the Register of persons who are restricted from access to gambling establishments and/or participation in gambling.
Of these, information on 2,161 persons was entered based on statements received by gambling organizers.
In total, as of April 2024, the Register (KRAIL) contains information on 6,031 individuals.
Most applications were submitted by men – 2,152, women – 209.
Age of persons who are restricted from access to gambling establishments and/or participation in gambling:
– from 21 to 30 years old – 1,439 people (61%);
– from 31 to 40 years old – 765 people (32%);
– from 41 to 50 years old – 126 people (6%);
– 51 years and older – 31 persons (1%).
Methods of entering information into the Register:
– according to the statement about self-limitation;
– upon application for restrictions;
– by court decision.
Temporary bans on visiting gambling establishments for a period of 6 months to 3 years are provided for persons entered in the Register (KRAIL). After it expires, the restrictions are automatically terminated.
