Denmark allocates 2.2 billion kroner to Ukraine for strengthening defense capabilities and cooperation with the defense industry
The Danish government has announced additional military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 2.2 billion Danish kroner (approximately 295 million euros). These funds will be used to support the Ukrainian naval forces, the purchase of drones, and the production of missile spare parts.
This information confirmed The Ministry of Defense of Denmark, emphasizing that part of the funds will be directed to investing in the Ukrainian defense industry.
Part of the aid will be invested in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry. This involves cooperation with partner countries, such as the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, in joint programs for the development and production of weapons.
Danish Defense Minister Trols Lund Poulsen emphasized the significant potential of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex and expressed his support for joint initiatives:
“In March, I visited a number of Ukrainian defense industry enterprises in Kyiv, and it became clear that there is great potential for future cooperation that can supply necessary equipment to Ukraine that will help change the situation on the battlefield.” , – said the minister.
This aid package is part of the general plan to support Ukraine, which Denmark plans to implement until 2028. The total amount of aid will be 41.4 billion Danish kroner (about 5.5 billion euros).
