Duda spoke at the UN General Assembly and called to prevent the freezing of the war in Ukraine

The world community should not allow Russian aggression in Ukraine to turn into another “frozen conflict”. This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda during his speech at the UN General Assembly. He emphasized that the war in Ukraine destabilizes the entire region and poses a serious threat to global security, informs Polish Radio.
Speaking at the general debate of the 79th session of the General Assembly, Duda reminded that the UN was created after the Second World War specifically to prevent conflicts and maintain peace around the world.
“We cannot allow this war to become another frozen conflict. This is our most important task for the future. Therefore, it is extremely important to stop the Russian war in Ukraine. This is necessary not only to prevent the suffering of the civilian population and to punish the aggressor, but also to shameful actions did not become an example for others”, – said Duda.
Duda also emphasized the importance of restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. According to him, contempt for international law must be stopped, otherwise every country, regardless of its size and location, may be under the threat of aggression.
The President of Poland called on the world community to take decisive action to stop the Russian war in Ukraine and prevent similar scenarios from happening again in the future.
