Due to shelling, “Ukrzaliznytsia” changed the schedule for over 200 trains

Due to the consequences of the shelling, “Ukrzaliznytsia” is introducing an updated schedule for over two hundred trains, including 118 long-distance flights and more than a hundred regional and suburban ones, starting January 22. The company announced this on its social networks.

In “Ukrzaliznytsia” note that the new schedule was developed in order to stabilize traffic after massive delays caused by shelling, forced detours and trains running under backup diesel locomotives in power-cut regions. As the company explains, the changes should reduce the accumulation of delays and make traffic more predictable.

At the same time, passengers of certain international flights have already been warned about the adjustment of departure times.

“If you have purchased a ticket for one of the following two trains, please note the changed departure schedule: No. 9 Kyiv – Budapest (09:43 instead of 11:05), No. 749 Kyiv – Vienna (12:33 instead of 13:05). Your tickets purchased after January 8 already take into account the new departure and arrival times. Passengers who bought tickets on resources or at the box offices of foreign carriers are asked to be careful and check the time on the official channels of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, – the message says.

The company also reminds that the current schedule can be checked in the mobile application and on the UZ website, as well as on electronic displays at stations.
