“El-energo”: how the company of the director of “Servants of the People” received contracts worth 750 million hryvnias
The El-energo company, which is co-owned by the director and screenwriter of the series “Servant of the People” Oleksiy Kiryushchenko, signed 12 contracts worth more than 750 million hryvnias with state and communal enterprises from October 2023 to May 2024.

The company of the director of “Servants of the People” received contracts worth 750 million for the sale of electricity. It is noted that in August 2023, the director Oleksiy Kiryushchenko, who collaborated with the projects of the studio “Kvartal 95”, joined the company “El-energo” (received a 49% share). Oleksandr Khandryga (51%) became his business partner.
The main activity of “El-energo” is electricity trading. The company itself was established in September 2022, and received a license to supply electricity in November. However, before the arrival of the new owners, there was no activity.
“After the change of owners, the company began to receive budget orders. In total, by April 2024, it managed to conclude 12 contracts for the supply of electricity to utility companies and state structures. The total amount of orders is UAH 774 million (value taking into account changes to contracts as of May 10, 2024). Most of the agreements are concluded before the end of the year, so the price and volume of supply may still be changed“, – inform the investigators.
Currently, the largest agreement is signed with the Dniprovodokanal KP of the Dnipro City Council. According to the latest changes to the contract, the value of the deal is UAH 521 million. The deadline is until the end of the year.
Journalists asked Kiryushchenko directly about his new electrical business, but the director refused to talk. In response to a direct question about the El-energo company and its contracts, Kiryushchenko initially said that he did not understand what he was talking about. Then, that he is not Kiryushchenko at all. And, in the end, the conversation came down to the image of the Bihus.Info editor and the journalist.
According to journalists, Oleksiy Kiryushchenko was born in Ukraine, lived and worked in Russia for a long time. In Ukraine, in particular, he collaborated with the projects of the studio “Kvartal 95” – the TV series “Swati”, “Papik”, “Servant of the People”. After the victory of Volodymyr Zelenskyi in 2019, Kiryushchenko participated in the development of the concept of the then new TV channel for the occupied territories “House”, was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, and, according to journalists, was a member of the commission that selected film projects for the state financing.
In September 2023, together with producer Artem Kolyubaev (former film production business partner of the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak), he became a co-owner of the Culver UAV manufacturing company. The producer and the director received 5% each in the companies included in Culver.
