ElevenLabs has released a mobile application for generating voice clips based on text
The company ElevenLabs, known for its developments in the field of voice artificial intelligence, presented a new mobile application for iOS and Android platforms that allows you to create text-based voice clips. Previously, such functionality was available only through the web version of the service.
To create a clip, it is enough to enter or insert text, choose a voice, and receive ready-made audio. About 10 minutes of voice generation are available to users of the free tariff. The application implements several synthesis models for choosing the optimal quality ratio. In addition, it supports the latest version of the v3 alpha model, which allows you to control emotions and intonations of the voice through special tags.
Many users have already created voice clips in the mobile version of the site and then used them in videos for social networks, in particular in CapCut or Instagram. Based on this demand, the company decided to develop a separate mobile application to make the process faster and more convenient.
“Over the past year, we’ve seen a real explosion of creativity in our community, with content creators, marketers, educators, broadcasters, and professionals using ElevenLabs to bring their projects to life. Many were using ElevenLabs in a mobile browser and asking for a faster, more convenient, and more powerful app built specifically for mobile devices.” – explained Jack McDermott, head of mobile at ElevenLabs.
The new application allows ElevenLabs to effectively compete with other voice generation and cloning services such as Speechify and Captions. This is the company’s second mass-market app — previously ElevenLabs released the Reader app for listening to text files on the go.
In the future, the company plans to significantly expand the functionality of the new application: speech recognition technology (speech-to-text), conversational AI assistant and other capabilities are among the planned updates.
