European representatives should join ceasefire monitoring: Zelensky
European representatives should participate in monitoring the ceasefire, said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The Head of State emphasized that the relevant group should include not only Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the United States.
According to the President, monitoring compliance with the ceasefire requires a broader international representation.
“We are again raising the topic that even during the monitoring of the ceasefire, when it comes, whenever it comes, I think that, of course, it is great that we have Americans. Of course, it is clear that this group will include Russians and Ukrainians, because we are on both sides of the contact line. But I emphasize again and again that, in my opinion, we also need representatives of Europe,” Zelensky said in an interview for Pierce Morgan.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed journalists about the results of two-day talks in Geneva between the three parties. According to him, constructive progress was achieved in the military direction during the meetings, and the Ukrainian military understands the mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire and ending the war.
