Every third Ukrainian has personally encountered manifestations of corruption: the results of the study
During the past year, 30% of Ukrainian citizens encountered manifestations of corruption. Of these, 23% agreed to the proposed schemes, while 68% refused. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study conducted by the Info Sapiens agency on behalf of Transparency International Ukraine.
The survey confirmed the relevance of the problem, because most Ukrainians consider corruption as a mass phenomenon – 87% of respondents think so. Citizens over the age of 65 — 90% of respondents — assess its level most critically. Young people under the age of 24 are somewhat more reserved: 81% in this age group indicated the prevalence of corruption.
“Our study showed that if we do not implement systemic changes with a double effort now, do not take steps that would really show the country moving towards corruption-free, then this political power has no future”, commented the survey results, Executive Director of Transparency International Ukraine Andrii Borovyk.
At the same time, according to the results of a sociological study conducted by the research agency Info Sapiens on behalf of Transparency International Ukraine, 65% of Ukrainians consider corruption in the reconstruction process to be very or rather widespread.
