Fragments of six bodies found at the scene of a passenger train crash in Kharkiv region
Fragments of the bodies of six people were found at the site of the shelling of a passenger train in the Kharkiv region, reports the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. According to the information, the strikes by Russian troops were so powerful that it was initially difficult to determine the exact number of dead at the scene.
“The discovered body fragments were transferred for forensic medical examinations, which are currently underway. It has been established that they belong to six deceased people, the prosecutor’s office noted.
To accurately identify the deceased, biological samples will be taken from relatives for molecular genetic (DNA) examinations, which will allow comparing the data with the discovered fragments.
As previously reported, on January 27, Russian troops attacked a civilian passenger train in the Kharkiv region using attack drones. Against this background, “Ukrzaliznytsia” has introduced additional restrictions to reduce risks for passengers and railway workers.
