French journalist Antony Lallican was killed near Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region as a result of the impact of a Russian FPV drone. Ukrainian photojournalist Heorhiy Ivanchenko was injured. This was reported by 4 separate heavy mechanized brigade.

“As a result of a targeted strike by an enemy FPV drone, the French journalist-photographer Antony Lallikan died. Together with him, a journalist and photographer, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, Heorhiy Ivanchenko, worked on the spot. He was injured, currently his condition is stable, the message says.

The brigade noted that both journalists were wearing bulletproof vests with the inscription “PRESS”.

“The enemy once again cynically violated the norms of International Humanitarian Law. This fact once again confirms the treachery and cruelty of the enemy army, added the brigade.

President of France Emmanuel Macron reacted on the death of a journalist:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of his death from a Russian drone strike. I express my sincere condolences to his family, loved ones and all his colleagues who, risking their lives, inform us and bear witness to the reality of war.

As reported the Prosecutor’s Office of Donetsk region, in addition to journalists, three more civilians were injured:

“Occupation troops attacked the outskirts of the village of Komyshuvakha, Kramatorsk District, probably with the help of an FPV drone. A French citizen died as a result of the blow – journalist, and his colleague from Ukraine was injured. 3 more civilians were injured.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the victims were diagnosed with concussion, mine-explosive and craniocerebral injuries, shrapnel injuries, contusions and fractures. They were given medical assistance.
