Germany invests over 10 million euros in military training centers in Ukraine

Germany will allocate more than ten million euros to develop the infrastructure of military training centers directly on the territory of Ukraine. The financing is carried out within the framework of the European Union initiative, which aims to ensure the long-term combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced by the Federal Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius. The corresponding step is part of Germany’s commitments to strengthen Ukrainian defense in the long term.

The project involves the creation of a full-fledged educational institution for the training of military specialists. Investments will be directed to the construction and equipping of facilities that will allow for complex training within the country. The main goal of this program is to ensure the autonomy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that they can maintain a high level of personnel training with their own forces. This will allow maintaining the qualifications of personnel even after the end of the active phase of hostilities.

To date, almost twenty-seven thousand servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trained at German training grounds. However, the creation of internal infrastructure is strategically important for the transition to its own training system.

In addition to infrastructure projects, Germany is expanding defense cooperation through the joint production of long-range unmanned systems. This involves not only the development of drones of various ranges, but also the participation of German investors in the work of the Ukrainian defense cluster Brave1.

The implementation of innovative solutions and the expansion of the training base will significantly increase the effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield. The joint efforts of European partners and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are aimed at creating a modern army capable of independently responding to challenges to national security. Germany remains one of the leaders in supporting Ukraine, providing not only military equipment, but also the foundation for the sustainable development of the defense sector.

Providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with its own base for training specialists according to European standards strengthens the pan-European security architecture. The development of military infrastructure within the country is a critically important step towards the full integration of Ukraine’s defense structures into international collective defense systems.
