Google will provide Ukrainian students with free access to a number of AI tools

Google will provide Ukrainian students over the age of 18 with free one-year access to a set of AI tools. To do this, you need to submit an application by December 9 inclusive, reports Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Students need modern tools to learn more effectively and develop skills. Starting today, Google is providing students aged 18 and older with a free one-year subscription to the Google AI Pro suite of tools, the announcement said.

The package includes Gemini 2.5 Pro, which helps with homework, writing essays and solving difficult questions. Chat is unlimited and supports uploading images for analysis. Deep Research provides a deep analysis of information — the tool independently processes hundreds of sources and forms a structured report for essays or coursework, saving hours of searching and systematizing material.

NotebookLM acts as a personal assistant for the organization of knowledge: it helps to organize notes and ideas, and the number of audio and video reviews will increase five times, which will make it easier to learn the material. Veo 3 creates 8-second videos with sound from text or photos, useful for presentations and educational projects. Jules is a programming assistant that automatically fixes code errors and helps develop new features. The package also includes 2 TB of cloud storage in Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos.

To activate access, you need to follow the link and fill out the form by December 9. After that, confirmation and activation instructions will be sent to your e-mail. In addition, on October 21 at 17:00 Google will hold a free online webinar dedicated to the effective use of new tools. You can register using a special link.
