The level of wages of Ukrainian government officials increased in 2024: the average figure for the year increased by 24%. About this informs YouControl.
The highest declared income for 2024 — UAH 37.5 million — belongs to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov. He also leads the ranking of members of the Cabinet of Ministers by the amount of monetary assets, which at the end of the year amounted to about UAH 137 million.
The top five ministers with the highest incomes in 2024 also included: Denys Shmyhal — UAH 9.7 million, Herman Smetanin — UAH 7.4 million, Rustem Umyerov — UAH 6.8 million, Mykhailo Fedorov — UAH 6 million. Svitlana Grynchuk (71%), Rustem Umyerov (65%), Andriy Sibiga (55%) and Nataliya Kalmykova (52%) recorded the highest salary increase.
At the same time, the salary of some government officials, on the contrary, decreased. In particular, it decreased by more than 7% for Mykola Tochytsky, Herman Smetanin and Oksen Lisovoy. For 13 of the 21 members of the government, the salary is more than half of the total annual income.
We would like to remind you that by April 1, 2025, civil servants had to submit an annual declaration of income and assets. However, these requirements of the law are still ignored by a number of managers of large state-owned enterprises.
