Hungary has agreed to import oil from Kazakhstan in transit through Ukraine
Kazakhstan plans to start exporting oil to Hungary in 2025 through the Druzhba pipeline, which passes through the territory of Ukraine. The corresponding agreement was reached at the meeting of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Sijarto. “The issue of the supply of Kazakh oil to Hungary through the Druzhba pipeline was raised. An agreement was reached on test deliveries during 2025”, – the message says.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan noted that the ministers discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the companies “KazMunayGaz” and “MOL Group” in the oil and gas sector. In particular, they emphasized the importance of effective development of the Rizhkivske gas condensate field, in which both companies participate.
“The new agreement provides a sustainable solution for the transportation of crude oil through the Druzhba pipeline, – explained the executive vice president of MOL, Gabriel Szabo.
