In 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive a quarter more specialized armored vehicles: Denys Shmyhal
During 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were provided with special armored vehicles in a quantity that is 25% higher than the previous year. This was reported by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the defense department, these are wheeled armored vehicles of various types and modifications of both Ukrainian and foreign production. This equipment is designed to perform a wide range of tasks in combat conditions.
In particular, armored vehicles are used to transport personnel and logistical cargo, provide fire support to units, and also to conduct medical evacuation of the wounded. Some of the vehicles are manufactured using MRAP technology, which provides an increased level of protection against mines and ambushes.
Denys Shmyhal clarified that such armored vehicles have a V-shaped bottom, which reduces the impact of the blast wave, are equipped with special shock-absorbing seats, and their design is based on a monolithic armored capsule. Individual elements, in particular wheels, chassis and power units, perform the function of additional absorption of the energy of the explosion.
The minister emphasized that work on further providing the Ukrainian army with modern equipment continues.
