Ukrainians will have the opportunity to submit a joint application for divorce through the application “Diya” — the relevant resolution was adopted by the government. The service will be available to couples who do not have minor children. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Transformation of Ukraine.
“Action” will automatically check the data in the DRATS registers. If the children are not registered, the marriage will be dissolved one month after the application is submitted. During this period, the document can be revoked. Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko clarified that the service will start operating in 2026.
The ministry reminded that previously it was necessary to apply to DRATS at least twice, stand in lines and fill out documents. Now the procedure will take place entirely online — without visits to institutions. On the portal “ Action” an extract on the dissolution of marriage and the reissuance of the corresponding certificate are already available.
We would like to remind you that from September 9, 2025, Ukrainians can get married via video link through the Diya portal. In the application, the entire process of marriage registration is carried out – from the application to the marriage. Now the newlyweds do not need to waste time on trips, look for free dates in institutions or worry about bureaucratic procedures.
