The Ministry of Defense is implementing a digital system to support the state quality assurance of defense industry products
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues work on the digitalization of the defense procurement system. In this direction, an information and communication system to support the state guarantee of the quality of products of the defense-industrial complex is being developed, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
The introduction of a new digital system should ensure greater transparency in the field of defense procurement and strengthen confidence in Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment.
This technological solution is designed to solve several key tasks:
- automate and unify state quality assurance procedures, making processes more transparent;
- increase the effectiveness of planning, coordination and control during the performance of works related to state quality assurance.
“We will continue to strengthen the state quality assurance system in order to harmonize it with the relevant quality systems in the countries of the European Union and NATO member states and partner countries”, – stressed Yevhen Krasnikov, head of the Department of Product Quality Assurance of the Defense Industrial Complex.
A part of the new system is already available in test mode on the website of the Ministry of Defense in the “Activity – Procurement” section. There, users can find information about the main areas and mechanisms of the state quality assurance system, the current legislative framework in this area, as well as familiarize themselves with the NATO standards of the AQAP series, which are accepted as military standards in Ukraine.
