In Germany, they are calling to allow Ukraine to use Western weapons for attacks on the Russian Federation
Anton Hofreiter, a deputy from the German Green Party, made a strong statement, urging not to prevent Ukraine from using Western weapons to attack military facilities on the territory of Russia. He emphasized that this is necessary to protect the Ukrainian population, which suffers from constant shelling by the Russian army.

“This is about protecting the Ukrainian population. Therefore, we should not prevent Ukraine from using the supplied weapons to repel Russian fighter jets in Russian airspace,” – Hofreiter said.
He cited the example of Kharkiv, which is regularly shelled from Russian territory. The deputy also called on Germany to expand its military support to Ukraine by providing it with more weapons and ammunition. He believes that in the current situation, the supply of any types of weapons cannot be ruled out.
Currently, the administration of the US president is debating whether to relax the ban on such strikes. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also supported the idea of lifting the ban, stressing that Ukraine has the right to defend itself, and this includes striking targets on Russian territory.
