In Italy, the castle of a Russian businessman was arrested at the request of the SAP

NABU claims that the company's authorized capital is also among the seized property, in addition to the ancient castle.

The Financial Guard of Florence in Italy seized the property of a businessman of Russian origin in the case of the assignment of more than $60 million in losses of PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine”, they inform NABU and CAP. Earlier, the Italian mass media wrote that it was about the assets of Oleksiy Fedorychev.

The arrest was made in response to the request of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine for international legal assistance. According to the decision of the competent authorities of Italy, a castle worth €41 million was seized in Florence, which is material evidence in the case regarding the assignment of more than $60 million in losses of PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine”.

NABU claims that the businessman is a figure in this case. In addition to the ancient castle, the company’s authorized capital is also among the seized property.

Oleksiy Fedorychev was born in the Russian city of Krasnogorsk, has Hungarian citizenship and lives in Monaco. In 2018, NABU declared him wanted. In 2020, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, by Decree No. 184/2020, approved the decision of the NSDC to remove Fedorychev from the sanctions list.

Investigators claim that during July-October 2014, officials of the state grain corporation organized the conclusion and execution of foreign economic contracts regarding the sale of grain products of PJSC “DPZKU” at reduced prices to controlled enterprises.

According to the investigation, the grain belonging to the state-owned company was delivered to Saudi Arabia through a number of business entities on postpaid terms, but the money for the delivered grain was never paid.
