In Ivano-Frankivsk region, due to large-scale snowfalls, a section of the R-24 highway Tatariv – Kamianets-Podilskyi was swept away. On some sections of the road, the thickness of the snowdrifts exceeds the height of an adult. The impressive footage was published by Oleksiy Biloshitsky, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department.
According to him, the most difficult situation is observed on certain sections of the R-24 highway, where the snow covered the road so much that its height significantly exceeds the height of an adult. Special equipment is clearing snow-covered areas, actually paving a path through snow tunnels to restore transport connections.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, due to adverse weather conditions, restrictions have been introduced for freight transport on the section of the R-24 road between kilometers 134 and 170.
Police officers are ensuring the operation of clearing equipment and providing assistance to drivers who have found themselves in snowdrifts.
