In Kyiv, during an internal audit on the territory of one of the military units, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine discovered the fact of illegal registration of private ownership of the temple. About this informs Ministry of Defense
It turned out that the owner of the illegally registered object was a religious organization associated with the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The Ministry of Defense noted that these illegal actions could have caused the leakage of information about the movement of military units and equipment, as well as created an opportunity for outside civilians to access the territory of the military unit.
The Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, promptly eliminated these violations in the field of state registration. The temple was transferred to the management of the Military Chaplaincy Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where it will be used to meet the spiritual needs of servicemen and their families.
The Main Directorate of Defense Lands and Funds of the Ministry of Defense emphasizes the importance of compliance with Ukrainian legislation on freedom of conscience and religion, while emphasizing that illegal registration of real estate on defense lands or the territories of military facilities is unacceptable.
