The mandatory evacuation zone has been expanded in the Kharkiv region

In the Kharkiv region, the zone of mandatory evacuation of the civilian population from the Kupyan district has been expanded. About this informs the press service of the Kharkiv OVA.

During the meeting of the Defense Council of the Kharkiv region with the participation of the military, emergency workers, representatives of the security forces and heads of districts, the appropriate decision was made.

In view of the security situation in the Kupyan district, a decision was made on the mandatory evacuation of civilians from seven settlements of the Shevchenkiv community. These are the villages of Baranivka, Berezivka, Novomykolaivka, Spodobivka, Starovirivka, Duvanka and Fedorivka.

“In general, we plan to evacuate 181 children from seven settlements to safe places. All evacuees will receive temporary housing, support in processing the status of IDPs, access to social benefits and humanitarian aid. The evacuees will be provided with first aid at the transit center in Kharkiv.” – said the head of Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov.

The operational situation in the Kharkiv region was also discussed during the meeting. Over the past two months, 87 private and 27 multi-apartment buildings were damaged as a result of shelling of communities by guided aerial bombs, rocket launchers and drones.

“All structural units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and emergency services work in an intensified mode – they respond to threats around the clock, eliminate the consequences of attacks and help the victims”, – added Oleg Sinegubov.
