In Poland, they warned about the intensive movement of military equipment in the coming days
In connection with the military exercises “Iron Defender”, which will take place on the territory of Poland, drivers were warned about the intensive movement of convoys of military equipment on the roads in the coming days. This is reported by the General Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
The department explained that the military vehicles that will take part in the exercises will move with appropriate markings at the beginning and end of the convoy, as well as with their lights on.
“The convoys are accompanied by the military gendarmerie and traffic control units in cooperation with the police and local authorities”, the message says.
According to the rules for the organization of military convoys in Poland, no more than 20 vehicles can be part of one, and the distance between the convoys must be at least 500 meters. In this regard, the military appealed to citizens to be especially careful on the roads and to refrain from publishing photos, information about the place, date and time of movement of convoys, as well as data on departures or landings of military aircraft.
We would like to remind you that 34,000 Polish and allied soldiers, equipped with more than 600 units of equipment of all types of the Armed Forces, will take part in the Iron Defender exercises planned for September in Poland. Maneuvers “ Iron defender-25” have recently been considered as Poland’s response to joint exercises with Russia “West”, planned for September in Belarus.
