In “Reserve+” the disability status will be automatically displayed

Data on the presence or change of the disability group will now be automatically displayed in the “Reserve+” application intended for conscripts. This will greatly simplify the procedure for people with disabilities and facilitate the work of military medical commissions (MMC).

February 15 Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported, that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted relevant changes to resolutions No. 932 and No. 559. The innovation provides that information on the establishment or change of the disability group will be automatically received through integration with the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere. The data will be synchronized with the “Oberig” registry, which will allow you to update the status in “Reserve+” without additional requests and reviews.

Thus, conscripts with disabilities no longer need to undergo repeated medical examinations and confirm their status in the VLK. All changes will be made automatically or at the request of the user. The Ministry of Defense notes that this not only simplifies the procedure, but also guarantees additional protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.

In addition, the offline procedure for submitting documents to establish ineligibility has also been simplified. From now on, people with disabilities can self-certify the necessary papers with their own signature, provided they present the original document. If previously a notary signature was required in some cases, now this condition has been abolished. Documents can be submitted both by persons with disabilities themselves and by their legal representatives – parents, guardians or other authorized persons. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense emphasized that people with disabilities should not be sent to the VLK.

We will remind you that earlier in the Office of the President, the introduction of an electronic queue for passing the VLK was announced, which should reduce the load on the system and improve its efficiency. Also, on February 12, the Verkhovna Rada extended the terms of passing the VLK for Ukrainians who have the status of limited fitness for military service.

The need for these changes is caused by the fact that after the entry into force of the relevant law on May 4, 2024, only 25% of citizens recognized as being of limited fitness underwent a repeat medical examination. Due to this, it became practically impossible to fulfill the legal norms within the specified time.
