The Ministry of Defense introduces additional payments to military personnel for prisoners of war and the destruction of enemy manpower
Ukrainian defenders will be able to receive additional monetary compensation for capturing enemy servicemen or destroying enemy manpower. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The ministry explained that such payments are provided for by the first stage of the transformation of the Defense Forces. The relevant norms are enshrined in the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 768 of June 12, 2026.
According to the document, for capturing an enemy serviceman, Ukrainian servicemen can receive 100,000 hryvnias. For destroying enemy manpower, a payment of 15,000 hryvnias is provided.
If several servicemen capture one enemy, the reward of 100,000 hryvnias will be distributed among them proportionally.
At the same time, the payment of 15,000 hryvnias for the destruction of a military enemy in a shooting or hand-to-hand combat is possible only if there is confirmation by appropriate video recording.
Additional rewards will be accrued on the basis of the order of the commander of the military unit and will be paid together with the basic cash allowance.
The order for such payments must be issued by the 5th of the current month for the previous month. The payment itself will be made by the 20th of the same current month.
