In the first half of the year, income from tax payments by large businesses increased by more than UAH 100 billion
The indicator of the share of revenues from large business is 40.6% of the collection to the general fund of the state budget.
During the first half of 2024, large taxpayers added UAH 242.9 billion to the general fund of the state budget, which is 1.7 times, or UAH 102 billion, higher than the figure for January-May 2023. About this reported in the Central Directorate of the DPS for work with large taxpayers.
They explained that the share of revenues from big business is 40.6% of the collection to the general fund of the state budget. Income tax collections tripled to UAH 93.5 billion (+ UAH 62.4 billion). The indicator of revenues from dividends of state-owned companies increased by 2.2 times – up to UAH 58.6 billion (+ UAH 31.4 billion). The amount of value added tax collections increased by 3.5% to UAH 58.3 billion (+ UAH 2 billion). Personal income tax increased by 27.5% and amounted to UAH 14.8 billion (+ UAH 3.2 billion).
It is also known that excise tax revenues from excise goods produced in Ukraine increased by 10.1% to UAH 11.5 billion (+ UAH 1.1 billion), while revenues from the single contribution to the mandatory state social insurance in January–June amounted to UAH 21.5 billion, which is 25.3% or UAH 4.4 billion more than in the same period of 2023.
The amount of receipts to the consolidated budget in January-June 2024 from payments under the control of the DPS will amount to UAH 780.7 billion. UAH 580.6 billion were transferred to the state budget, UAH 200.1 billion to local budgets.
The Cabinet of Ministers is currently working on a draft law on tax increases. The changes will concern VAT and the military levy, which can not only be increased, but also introduced for the FOP on a simplified taxation system.
